Kristian Ayre

as Radu

Kristian was born in Lancashire, England and moved to Canada at the age of three. After guest appearances on such Canadian series as Neon Rider and The Odyssey, he began appearing in American films such as Andre (1994) and Bye Bye Birdie (1995).

After Space Cases, Kristian continued in television with "The New Ghostwriter Mysteries" (1997) and "Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy" (1998).

His most recent work includes appearances on such TV shows as Stargate SG-1, Jake 2.0 and the Chris Isaak Show as well as the mini- series Voyage of the Unicorn and the movie Elf.

Radu is an Andromedan, the first member of his species to attend the Academy. In many ways, Radu is something of an outsider. The other space cases, despite their alien backgrounds, have uniformity of experience growing up in the Sol system. Since Radu is genuinely alien, even to the aliens, he is always concerned about what they think of him.

Harlan's father was killed by an Andromendan during the Spung War, and Harlan has no qualms about letting Radu know of his dislike and distrust of Andromendans.

Radu envies the others for having parents, since he was born in a hatchery and never knew the concepts of parents or family.
